What this mod does
Dotec, the German modder behind the Mercedes-Benz Actros MP3, also made one of the most-viewed trailer packs on the SCS forum: his Kögel thread has over 440,000 views. The model is his own, built from scratch.
What’s included
- Kögel Cargo curtainsider, with side walls and a modeled interior on every body type.
- Kögel Mega, Box and Box Mega, with an electric rear door on the box version.
- EuroCombi versions of the Box Mega and Cargo Mega.
- A car carrier based on the Mega, with its own cargo inside the curtain.
- Two- and three-axle chassis with a steering axle, plus a liftable second axle on the three-axle version.
Details
SAF axles, Jost landing gear, LED taillights, a Palfinger forklift with turn signals, an AEB 595 beacon, Aspöck ecoLED 2 lights and Wabco air system wiring. It includes flatbed cargo (roof tiles, JCB machines) and 8K templates for making paint jobs.
Version
The current version is 2.2.1.58, built for ETS2 1.58. Dotec maintains it on Steam Workshop, where it has more than 137,000 subscribers and got its latest fix on February 13, 2026; his website also offers a MediaFire download (password-protected, with the password given on the same page). The author forbids modifying or re-uploading the model, but allows paint jobs to be published separately.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.58 or later (the author's version 2.2.1.58)
- No required DLC listed on the author's website
How to install it
- Open Dotec's Kögel Cargo page on Steam Workshop.
- Click Subscribe (or use the MediaFire download from Dotec's website if you don't play on Steam).
- If you use MediaFire, extract the archive with the password given on that page.
- Copy the contents into Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod and enable it in the Mod Manager.
- Load your save and look for the Kögel trailers in the game; the website doesn't say where they show up.

Common problems
Who made the models?
Dotec, who is credited as the author of the model and the conversion. The olive trees and JCB cargo are from SCS.
Can I make paint jobs for these trailers?
Yes. The author includes 8K templates and allows paint jobs and textures to be distributed separately, without the model files.
Does it work on 1.61?
The author lists 1.58, and his latest fix on Steam is from February 13, 2026. If something breaks on newer versions, check the Steam Workshop comments.
