Multiplayer Here are 227 mods for Assetto Corsa on PC: cars, tracks, open-wheelers, drift packs and apps. The vast majority are free to download (if there are paid extras or versions, the mod page says so), and each mod page links only to its author's official download: OverTake, the project's website or the studio's store. These Assetto Corsa mods are checked against Steam version 1.16, the latest release of the original 2014 Assetto Corsa, and on each mod page we tell you whether the mod needs Content Manager, Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) or a Kunos DLC.
Types of Assetto Corsa mods
- Cars: street sports cars, classics and racing touring cars like TCR cars or BTCC Super Touring cars.
- Tracks: real circuits like Jerez, Jarama or Donington Park, hillclimbs and open-road maps for aimless cruising.
- Formula: open-wheelers from racing-school cars and Formula Ford to F1-style cars from different eras.
- Drift: packs of cars built for drifting and Japanese tracks where drifting was born.
- Tools: apps you use while racing, like a car radar or a penalty system for servers.
- Graphics: post-processing filters and visual tweaks for Custom Shaders Patch, Pure and Sol.
- Sound: sound packs that improve the engines and ambience of the game's cars.
- Skins: livery packs for open-wheelers and race cars, with a non-affiliation notice.
- Gameplay: career modes and championships ready to play with the game's content.
Best Assetto Corsa mods to start with
If it's your first time with mods, start with these, all free and highly rated:
- Shutoko Revival Project: Tokyo's urban expressways, the version almost every server uses. Download it only from its official website.
- Union Island: a Caribbean island with more than 30 km of open roads, perfect for trying out new cars without the pressure of a circuit.
- LA Canyons: more than 40 km of Los Angeles mountain roads for touge and group drives; it looks best with Content Manager and CSP.
- Porsche 911 Singer: the 964 reimagined by Singer in three versions, one of the highest-rated mod cars.
- Peugeot 106 Rallye S2: a light front-wheel-drive hot hatch, stock or tuned, with visual damage and rain (requires CSP).
- Donington Park: the English circuit with its GP and National layouts, among the most downloaded track mods.
- Formula Ford Russell Alexis Mk.14: a wingless 1967 open-wheeler that teaches you to manage the car's weight.
- Helicorsa: a lightweight radar that shows you from above who's alongside you, both offline and online.

Drift, F1 and rally mods
Drift
To get started, the WDT Street Car Pack brings together 11 classic cars in street spec, and the World Drift Tour Car Pack 2021 adds 8 race cars balanced against each other for online championships. Add the Nissan Laurel C33 D-Spec sedan and try them at Sunrise Circuit or on the Ebisu mountain course.
F1 and open-wheel mods
The most complete F1-style mods are the VRC Formula Alpha 2022, with ground effect and simulated porpoising (requires Content Manager and CSP), Race Sim Studio's Formula Hybrid 2017, the 2008 V8 VRC Formula Beta 2008 and the 1999 Ferrari F399, which you install by copying folders by hand. To work your way up, try the Skip Barber Formula 2000 or the RSR Formula 3 first.
Assetto Corsa rally mods
Assetto Corsa wasn't built as a rally game, but the community has created stages and cars that work really well. In the rally mods section you'll find historic tarmac stages like Muracciole–Vezzani and Porto–Piana from the Tour de Corse, Les Noirs–Thizy from the Rallye Lyon-Charbonnières (almost 19 km) or La Bollène–Vésubie, the climb up the Col de Turini; for gravel, the fictional Forest Rally Stage 2. For a car, the Group B Lancia Delta S4, with tarmac and gravel versions.
If you prefer mountain roads without a stage timer, try The Tajo Hillclimb, 16 km through the Alto Tajo created by a Spanish modder, or l'Arrabassada, the Barcelona climb toward Tibidabo, with the Peugeot 106 Rallye S2 or the Subaru Impreza WRX. Heads-up: Assetto Corsa Rally is a separate game and, for now, only supports custom liveries, not community cars or stages.
How to install Assetto Corsa mods
Assetto Corsa has no Steam Workshop: each mod is downloaded from its author's website and copied into the game folder.
- Open the game folder. On Steam it's usually steamappscommonassettocorsa.
- Unzip the mod. Cars go in contentcars and tracks in contenttracks. Copy the car or track folder, not the container folder the archive sometimes includes.
- If the mod includes more folders (for example extension), copy them too, to the path the author specifies.
- If you use Content Manager, its content installer does these steps for you from the downloaded file.
Content Manager is an alternative launcher, with a free basic version, that organizes cars and tracks, installs content and makes online play easier. Custom Shaders Patch extends the graphics engine with dynamic lighting and weather, reflections and particles, and many current mods require it (several ask for CSP 0.2.8 or higher). You'll find the step-by-step in the guide how to install Assetto Corsa mods.
Can you use mods on console or online?
Assetto Corsa mods only work on PC: the PlayStation and Xbox versions don't support external content, as we explain in Assetto Corsa on PS4 and PS5. Online on PC, to join a server with mod cars or tracks you need those same mods installed, and some servers require apps like Real Penalty. How to find servers or set up your own is covered in the Assetto Corsa servers guide.
Assetto Corsa, EVO and Competizione aren't the same
This page only lists mods for the original Assetto Corsa. Assetto Corsa EVO is a different game and has its own mods page. We don't cover Assetto Corsa Competizione mods, although you do have guides to its servers and its setups.
How we choose mods
We only publish mods with an official download from their author, and on each mod page we note which version it's compatible with according to its author and what it needs to work: a CSP version, a Kunos DLC or manual installation.
