comfy shifter (H-pattern or sequential) for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

comfy shifter is a small Lua app by Tuttertep, who also made comfy map, that lets you switch between H-pattern and sequential shifting without leaving the session. It’s handy if you have an H-pattern shifter and paddles on your wheel and want to use one or the other depending on the car or the moment. It has 5 out of 5 in all its reviews.

How it works

• Press the clutch and put it in a gear to switch to H-pattern; use the sequential to switch back.
• An option to toggle with Ctrl+Shift+G without restarting the game.
• A toggle to disable automatic switching via clutch and gear.
• An option to hide the mode-change message.

Limits

It can only disable H-pattern shifting on cars that support it: it can’t add an H-pattern to a car whose data doesn’t allow it, such as paddle-only cars.

Requirements

The author tested it with CSP 1.79 and doesn’t know the minimum version; he says it should work on any version where the Controller Tweaks app works. You install it by dragging it into Content Manager. If that fails, your Content Manager is probably outdated; you can also copy the folder into assettocorsa/apps/lua.

How to install it

1. Open the comfy shifter page on OverTake.gg and log in.
2. Download the .zip.
3. Drag it into Content Manager or copy the folder into assettocorsa/apps/lua.
4. In the app settings, enable the Ctrl+Shift+G shortcut if you want it.
5. On track, press the clutch and put it in a gear to switch to H-pattern.
