Content Manager is a community-made alternative launcher for Assetto Corsa that replaces the game’s original menu: it installs mods by dragging and dropping the file, manages cars and tracks, makes online play easier and is the most convenient way to install Custom Shaders Patch (CSP). It’s developed by Ilja Jusupov (x4fab), who also created CSP. The Lite version is free and includes all the core features; the full version is unlocked with a donation of any amount you like, which gets you a key that unlocks in-development features and pre-release builds. Only download it from the official site, acstuff.club/app (the old acstuff.ru domain still works), and it runs on Windows PCs only. Information checked on October 23, 2026.

What Content Manager does
- Quick race and career mode, with real-world time and weather conditions.
- Online play with favorite and hidden servers, plus downloading any content you’re missing when the server offers it.
- Management of cars, skins, showrooms, weather and fonts, with search and filters.
- Content installation and a built-in browser for finding mods.
- A tool for fixing old or broken car mods.
- Driving stats, best lap times and results history.
- Its own showroom with lighting, reflections and depth of field, plus livery and weather editors.
- Sharing setups, control presets and replays.
- Management of all Assetto Corsa settings, plus extra wheel commands such as unpausing or returning to the pits.
- Installation, updates and a settings panel for Custom Shaders Patch.
Content Manager vs the original launcher
| Task | Kunos launcher | Content Manager |
|---|---|---|
| Installing a car or track | Copy folders into content by hand | Drag the file onto the window and click Install |
| Installing CSP | Extract the package into the game folder | Install and update from its settings |
| Playing online | Server list | Favorites, hidden servers and downloading missing content if the server offers it |
| Old cars with bugs | No tool | Repair tool |
The game itself stays the same: Content Manager only changes how you set it up and launch it. The cars and tracks you install with it are the same mods you’d use if you installed them by hand.
Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Game | Assetto Corsa installed (PC, Steam) |
| OS | Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 |
| Components | .NET Framework 4.5.2, Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (x86) and the June 2010 DirectX Runtime |
| Graphics | DirectX 10/11 for the 3D features (showroom, previews) |
There’s no version for PS4, PS5 or Xbox: Assetto Corsa doesn’t support mods on console. It also doesn’t work with Assetto Corsa Competizione or Assetto Corsa EVO.
Official download
The only reliable source is the project page, acstuff.club/app, which offers the direct download, an offline version with the plugins already included, the latest release on GitHub and a mirror on Backblaze (currently 0.8.1976.36095). Our Content Manager mod page links to that page. Avoid sites that reupload it: they add nothing and you don’t know what file you’re getting.
How to install Content Manager step by step
- Download the file from acstuff.club/app.
- Extract it to its own folder with write permissions, for example inside Documents. Don’t put it in Program Files: Windows may block its updates.
- Open Content Manager.exe.
- On first launch, point it to your Assetto Corsa folder. If you don’t know where it is, right-click the game in Steam and choose Manage > Browse local files; it’s usually steamapps > common > assettocorsa.
- Without a key it runs as Lite. If you’ve donated, enter the key you received.
- Try a quick race to make sure everything launches.
First settings
- Game settings: video, controls and audio are configured from the Assetto Corsa settings inside Content Manager. Set up your wheel or controller and save a control preset.
- CSP: install it as soon as possible (next section); lots of modern mods need it.
- Online: mark the servers you use as favorites so you can find them quickly.
- Content: check the list of cars and tracks; if an old car gives you trouble, try the repair tool.
Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch
Custom Shaders Patch is an engine extension by the same author. It adds dynamic lights (Lighting FX), dynamic weather (Weather FX), reflections and anti-aliasing (Extra FX), particles, physics extensions and car details such as turn signals and reverse lights. In Content Manager you install it under Settings > Custom Shaders Patch: pick the recommended version, install it and enable the modules. On our mod page, reviewed on October 2, 2026, the recommended public version is 0.2.11, which requires 64-bit Assetto Corsa 1.16.3 or 1.16.4 and Visual C++ 2015 (x86). The public version is free; preview builds, such as the ones that include RainFX, come out earlier on the author’s Patreon.
With CSP installed you can add Pure or Sol for the sky and lighting, and use mods that require it, such as Comfy Map, CMRT Essential HUD (CSP 0.2.3 or later and Content Manager), KirbyCam or Advanced Gamepad Assist for playing with a controller.
Installing mods with Content Manager
Download the mod from its author’s page, drag the file (.zip, .rar or .7z) onto the Content Manager window, check what it detected (car, track, skin…) and click Install. It’s explained in more detail, along with manual installation, in the guide on installing mods in Assetto Corsa.
Playing online with Content Manager
The online tab shows servers along with their cars and tracks. If you’re missing content, Content Manager tells you and, when the server offers it, downloads it. Some servers require a minimum CSP version, and it warns you when you join. There’s more in Assetto Corsa servers.
Common problems
- It won’t launch: you’re missing .NET Framework 4.5.2, Visual C++ 2015 (x86) or the June 2010 DirectX. Install them from Microsoft.
- It won’t update or throws permission errors: it’s in Program Files. Move it to a folder like Documents.
- It can’t find the game: point it to the Assetto Corsa root folder, the one that contains AssettoCorsa.exe.
- A car or track doesn’t show up: check the mod’s folder structure and restart Content Manager.
- A track looks wrong or has weird textures: it usually needs a newer version of CSP.
- You can’t join a server: you’re missing content or the CSP version it requires.
- You’re looking for Content Manager for EVO: it doesn’t exist; EVO installs mods differently, as we explain in installing mods in Assetto Corsa EVO.
