CMRT Essential HUD for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

CMRT Essential HUD is a complete interface for Assetto Corsa by CMRT Group, released in May 2024. In just over a year it has passed 147,000 downloads on OverTake.gg with a 4.8 out of 5 rating. The idea is to replace the stock HUD with a consistent set of apps that don’t clutter the screen.

What’s included

• Nine standalone apps you can place anywhere and customize from a settings app.
• Among them: a leaderboard with an option to scroll long names, a delta bar, map, radar, tires, pedals and gears.
• Multiplayer support, with specific fixes so best laps are recorded correctly online.
• Option to replace the game’s original flags and fuel indicator; the original files are kept and you can restore them.

Development

The team released thirteen updates between June 2024 and July 2025. They made the apps 25% faster, added automatic resizing and right-click pinning, and fixed the delta on tracks such as Grobnik and the Nordschleife. Version 1.0.5 started requiring Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.3.

Requirements and tips

You need Content Manager and CSP 0.2.3 or later; SimHub isn’t required. If you play with UI scaling above 100%, use at least version 1.0.8, which fixes app movement. The team also sells an expanded version, CMRT Complete HUD, on Patreon.

Requirements

How to install it

1. Update Custom Shaders Patch to 0.2.3 or later from Content Manager.
2. Go to the CMRT Essential HUD page on OverTake.gg and log in.
3. Download the .zip (about 650 KB).
4. Drag it into the Content Manager window and confirm the installation, or copy its folders into the Assetto Corsa root folder.
5. For the full experience, also replace the flag and fuel files listed on the mod page (the originals are kept).
6. On track, open the apps from the sidebar and adjust them with the settings app.
