What this mod does
Advanced Gamepad Assist is a gamepad and keyboard control system based on Custom Shaders Patch’s Gamepad FX, created by adam10603. Its goal is to translate what the player wants to do into the car without oversimplifying the experience, for both racing and drifting. Released in July 2023, it’s rated 4.86 out of 5 from almost 140 reviews.

Requirements
You need Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.0 or later. The full version of Content Manager is only needed if you use its mods folder.
Tips
Don’t install it by dragging the zip into Content Manager, because that doesn’t copy all the files; the same goes for updates. To drive with a keyboard, bind the keys in Assetto Corsa, enable combine with keyboard in the gamepad controls and turn on keyboard input in the app. If trigger rumble doesn’t work, disable Steam Input for the game. How to install it
- Go to the mod page on OverTake.gg, log in and download the file (about 66 KB).
- Don't drag it into Content Manager: open the Advanced Gamepad Assist folder and copy the apps and extension folders.
- Paste them into the main assettocorsa folder.
- In Content Manager, go to Settings, Custom Shaders Patch, Gamepad FX, check Active and choose Advanced Gamepad Assist.
- In Assetto Corsa's controls, set the input method to Gamepad.
- Tweak whatever you like from the Advanced Gamepad Assist Config app in game.

Common problems
Can I install it by dragging it into Content Manager?
No. The author warns that this doesn't copy all the files, and the same goes for updates.
