What this mod does
The 106 Rallye is Peugeot’s nineties pocket rocket: light, simple and with a very lively rear end. This mod by Daniel Jimenez and Arch, the same team that made the Skip Barber for Assetto Corsa, recreates the second series (S2) with their own modeling, materials and physics.
What’s included
- Two versions: stock (rev limiter at 7,250 rpm) and a tuned one.
- Bodywork completely remodeled in version 1.3, with a visual damage system.
- Wipers and a windshield with rain effects, headlights with refraction and an optional rear wing you enable from the setup menu.
- Physics that support CSP’s advanced features.
How it drives
It’s a front-wheel-drive car that rotates a lot when you lift off the throttle on corner entry, which is exactly what makes the real car so much fun. It’s brilliant on narrow mountain stages and short circuits. On the mod page, an owner of a real 106 says the tuned version sets lap times very close to his own car’s.
Version
Version 1.4, from December 2022, tweaks the tires and front suspension. Since 1.2 it requires Custom Shaders Patch (0.1.74 or later). Skins made before 1.3 don’t fit the new bodywork.

Requirements

- Content Manager recommended for installation
- Free OverTake.gg account to download
How to install it
- Install or update Custom Shaders Patch from Content Manager.
- Go to the Peugeot 106 Rallye S2 page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the file (about 138 MB).
- Drag the file into Content Manager and click install, or copy the folders to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- In Drive, search for 106 and choose the stock or tuned version.
- To fit the rear wing, open the car's setup menu before heading out on track.

Common problems
The car behaves badly or won't load
Make sure Custom Shaders Patch is enabled; since version 1.2 the physics need it.
My skins don't fit anymore
Version 1.3 changed the entire body, so old skins no longer work.
Where's the rear wing?
It's optional and you enable it from the car's setup.
