What this mod does
This mod reproduces one specific car: the 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX (GD generation) that the author drives every day and has been modifying for six years. It isn’t a generic Impreza, but a replica of that car with its modifications, built to remain usable on the road and with a low-key look.
How it was made
- The 3D model, by A3DR, was built from a full photographic scan of the real car.
- The physics come from measured data: engine logs via OBD-II, suspension geometry checked on an alignment rig and the real weight of every part.
- The aerodynamics use Prodrive wind tunnel data, and the sound is by elMariachi90, adapted to this car’s mechanicals.
- The Custom Shaders Patch implementation is by AlleyViper.
Who it’s for
It’s ideal if you like tuned road cars and want something with all-wheel drive, a turbo and very believable handling for mountain stages, open maps or track days. It’s one of the top-rated free cars for Assetto Corsa.
Version
Version 2.1, from November 2022, redid the tires with a new model and adjusted brake temperature and braking power. Since 2.0 it uses Custom Shaders Patch extended physics, so you need CSP for it to work as intended.

How to install it
- Install or update Custom Shaders Patch from Content Manager.
- Download the car from its page on OverTake.gg (about 98 MB).
- Drag the file into Content Manager to install it, or copy the car folder to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- Find the Subaru Impreza WRX GD Tuned in the car list.
- Try it first on a circuit or a road map to get used to the turbo and the all-wheel drive.

Is it an STI?
No. It's a tuned 2007 WRX GD, a replica of the author's real car.
The gauges read in miles
A 2021 update, called USDM, switched the instruments to US format (miles, degrees Fahrenheit and a 12-hour clock).
