What this mod does
The Toyota Sera is one of the rarest Japanese cars of the early nineties: a small coupé with butterfly doors. This mod by A3DR (Alberto Daniel Russo), with physics by Jason Coates (aphidgod), brings it to Assetto Corsa in three very different versions.
The three versions
- Stock: the production car, with an automatic gearbox like the original, opening butterfly doors, an animated shifter, and working gauges and lights.
- TRD: a track day build with adjustable coilovers, camber plates, a rear bar, 4A-GE engine, limited-slip differential, track pads and 195 mm tires.
- GT (time attack): all-wheel drive taken from the Starlet EP85, the MR2’s 3S-GTE turbo engine with its gearbox, custom suspension, a widebody kit and 225 mm tires.
Who it’s for
The stock version is for cruising and enjoying a car you rarely see in sims; the TRD is the most balanced for learning on short circuits and mountain stages, and the GT is a powerful toy for hot laps. A3DR built the model himself for Assetto Corsa, with help from a real owner who provided photos and measurements.
Version
The last update dates from October 2017 (visual touch-ups and a fix for the rear axle geometry). It doesn’t require Custom Shaders Patch, although as an older mod it doesn’t take advantage of CSP’s newer features.

How to install it
- Go to the Toyota Sera page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the file (about 159 MB).
- Drag the file into Content Manager and click install, or copy the car folders to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- In Drive, search for Sera and choose the Stock, TRD or GT version.
- If you pick the Stock, remember it has an automatic gearbox; for a manual, use the TRD or the GT.

Common problems
Why doesn't the stock version have a manual gearbox?
Because that's how the original Sera was sold; the author keeps the factory automatic. The TRD and GT versions have a manual gearbox.
Does it need Custom Shaders Patch?
The mod page doesn't require it. It works in Assetto Corsa with Content Manager, although the lighting looks better with CSP.
Which version is easiest to drive?
The TRD: it's light, has a limited-slip differential and doesn't have as much power as the GT.
