Honda S800 Cabriolet for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

The Honda S800 Cabriolet is the street version of the little roadster Honda used to break into sports cars in the ’60s. A3DR, Alberto Daniel Russo, made the model and textures, and Aphidgod handled the physics. The sound comes from Kunos’ Alfa Romeo GTA.

What’s included

• Physics completely redone in version 2.0.
• Paint with Custom Shaders Patch shading, ambient occlusion and revised tire textures.
• Working fuel and temperature gauges, more accurate instruments and working wipers.
• Headlights with refraction and turn signals (CSP only), a new driver and a black livery with red interior.

Who it’s for

For relaxed drives on mountain roads or races with light classics. If you want the racing version, the same author has the Honda S800 RSC.

Version

2.0 (June 2020) is the big update: new physics and extras for Custom Shaders Patch. The author asks for CSP 0.1.61 or later for everything to work, recommends an up-to-date Content Manager and asks you to delete the previous folder. Back in 2017 he had already cut the file from about 200 MB to 54 MB to gain frames.

Requirements

• Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.61 or later
• Content Manager 0.8.2096 or later recommended
• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Delete the folder of the previous S800 Cabriolet version.
2. Go to the mod page on OverTake.gg, log in and download the file (about 59 MB).
3. Drag it into Content Manager or copy the car folder into assettocorsa/content/cars.
4. Enable Custom Shaders Patch (0.1.61 or later) and look for Honda S800 in the list.
