What this mod does

Singer Vehicle Design is the California shop that takes 964-generation Porsche 911s and turns them into collector’s pieces with classic looks and modern mechanicals. This mod by Ben O’Bro, with a 3D model by him and Szymon Kubicki and physics by Arch, is one of the highest-rated and most downloaded modded cars in Assetto Corsa.

Versions

  • 4.0 engine: the most powerful configuration.
  • 3.8 engine.
  • All-wheel-drive version (AWD).

Each one comes with its own skins, and the author offers PSD templates on his website so you can paint your own.

How it drives

It’s a classic rear-engined 911: it turns in precisely if you brake in a straight line, but it punishes abrupt weight transfers mid-corner. It’s ideal for mountain roads like LA Canyons, by the same author, or for relaxed laps on historic circuits. The sound comes from the official Kunos 911 R.

Version and requirements

Since version 1.3 the physics require Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.8 or later; the latest updates (September and December 2025 and February 2026) revise the suspension, tire and brake temperatures, ABS and chassis flex. If you don’t want to use CSP, version 1.1 is still available in the page’s version history.

Common problems

Does it work without Custom Shaders Patch?

The current version doesn't: since 1.3 it requires CSP 0.2.8 or later. Version 1.1 is still in the page's history for anyone not using CSP.

The page says to extract it into 'tracks'. Is that right?

No: it's a car and goes in assettocorsa/content/cars. With Content Manager you don't need to worry about the path.

Can I make my own skins?

Yes, the author publishes PSD templates on benobro.org.
