What this mod does
Puech Arnal is a tarmac stage by jcrr inspired by the legendary Ronde Cévenole, the rally run from 1967 to 1979 on the roads of the Cévennes in southern France. The author built it from scratch with Bob’s Track Builder for GTL and then did this Assetto Corsa conversion himself; the road textures were photographed on location.
What’s included
- 18 pit boxes and races against the AI (choose a race weekend or qualifying).
- Multiplayer support: the track name is in lowercase for online sessions.
- SCGT4EVER cars as scenery, with their permission, and objects from several BTB Xpacks.
Version 1.2
The big update on August 19, 2023 overhauled materials and shaders, added grass and rain effects and new mountains. The author recommends watching a full replay while changing the time of day and trying different conditions, especially fog.
Known issues
According to the author himself, some invisible collision objects are still missing. Older reviews mention steps in some hairpins (some are conversion bugs and others exist on the real road) and a minimap that doesn’t show up. The page doesn’t give the stage length or ask for a specific CSP version. It has a 4.74 rating from 31 reviews and nearly 15,000 downloads.
