What this mod does
The Subida a Santo Emiliano is one of the classic events of the Spanish Hill Climb Championship, and this mod by massyerba brings it to Assetto Corsa. It follows the AS-269 road from Sama de Langreo up to the Alto de Santo Emiliano, on the border between the Langreo and Mieres municipalities, right in the heart of Asturias’s mining valleys.
How it drives
- A tarmac hill climb with a start inside a tunnel, one of the details reviews praise most.
- Tightly linked corners: a driver from Mieres who knows it describes it as very tough.
- Pretty wavy tarmac; some users find it too bumpy.
Known issues and fixes
- If the bumps bother you, the author explains that you can set SIN_HEIGHT, SIN_LENGTH, VIBRATION_GAIN and VIBRATION_LENGTH to zero in the track’s surfaces file.
- If the map doesn’t show up or your times aren’t saved, delete the track’s map.png and the game will generate a new one.
- There are tires in the pit area and a tunnel wall where some cars can get snagged.
Who it’s for
For anyone who follows Spanish hill climbing and wants an authentic Asturian climb. It’s only 47 MB, so it’s a quick download to try out.
