What this mod does
Pico Veleta Subida/Bajada brings Assetto Corsa the road that climbs Veleta along the A-395 in Sierra Nevada (Granada), which the mod page bills as the highest paved road in Europe. Its author, Genis, built it with Race Track Builder, and it’s one of the highest-rated Spanish stages on OverTake: 4.96 out of 5 from 26 votes and more than 12,000 downloads.
The route
- 11.9 km from 2,430 m up to 3,289 m: 876 m of elevation gain.
- An average gradient of 7.4% and ramps of up to 21.3%.
- Two layouts: uphill and downhill, each with five cameras.
- In real life, the last few kilometers require a special permit from the Natural Park; here you can drive them with no paperwork.
Details
- Observatories, labs, the big antenna, the Virgen de las Nieves statue, military barracks, chairlifts and signs.
- Two-lane and single-lane tarmac with three textures and ten kinds of bumps.
- About 14,000 small rocks you can drive over, 50 pits and rain-ready.
Who it’s for
For anyone who enjoys long mountain stages and high-altitude scenery. Watch your resources: the author dropped movable rocks because they pushed RAM usage to about 6 GB.

Common problems
Is it the real road?
Yes, it recreates the climb along the A-395 in Sierra Nevada; the objects (observatories, antenna, chairlifts) are the author's approximations.
The downhill layout won't load
A few users have mentioned it in the reviews; check that CSP is up to date and that you don't have a duplicate install.
Why is there grass instead of loose rock?
The author explains he replaced the broken rock with grass and walls due to modeling limitations.
