Here are 17 mods for drifting in Assetto Corsa: packs of cars built for drifting, '80s Japanese sedans and the mountain roads where drifting was born. Almost all the Assetto Corsa drift mods in this section are free (the mod page notes any paid extras), link only to their author's official download and are made for the original Assetto Corsa on PC. On each mod page we tell you whether the mod needs Custom Shaders Patch (CSP).
Featured drift mods
- WDT Street Car Pack: eleven drift classics in street spec, the easiest way to get started. It's downloaded from the World Drift Tour website.
- World Drift Tour Car Pack 2021: eight of the league's competition cars, balanced against each other for championships and servers.
- Nissan Laurel C33 D-Spec: an '80s sedan with an RB25DET engine putting out around 350 hp at the wheels and a 2-way limited-slip differential, modeled from scratch.
- Ebisu Circuit – Touge Course: Ebisu's mountain course in Fukushima, narrow and full of hairpins; requires CSP.
- Sunrise Circuit (Tsukuruma Circuit): three layouts in Tochigi, one of them Tsukuruma, ideal for learning; requires a recent version of CSP.
What to keep in mind
- Prepared or street car: a league's competition cars are balanced against each other to race together; if you're just starting out, a street-spec pack is easier to handle. Prepared cars, like the Laurel C33 with its 2-way LSD and adjustable suspension, are easier to control in a drift.
- Custom Shaders Patch: the Japanese tracks in this section need it. Install it first and, if the mod page lists a minimum version, update it.
- Installation: cars go in assettocorsacontentcars and tracks in contenttracks. In a pack, copy each car folder separately, not the folder that groups them. Content Manager makes this simpler with its content installer.
- Drift servers: to join, you need the same cars and the same track as the server. Content Manager downloads the content you're missing when it's available, which is why league packs, like the World Drift Tour ones, are so common online.
- Tuning: if the car isn't doing what you want, the setup helps; the setups guide explains what to adjust if it understeers or oversteers.
If you want more roads to drift on, check out the Assetto Corsa tracks, like LA Canyons. Head back to Assetto Corsa mods for other categories, or see how to install Assetto Corsa mods, Assetto Corsa setups and Assetto Corsa servers.
