What this mod does

Takigahara Mountain Pass is a touge, a Japanese mountain road, made by fca based on a real pass. It’s 4.2 km long, you can drive it in both directions, and it’s one of the best-rated free touges on OverTake, with a 4.94 rating and more than 67,000 downloads.

What it’s like

  • Between 6 and 10 meters wide, with 0.5 to 1 degree of camber.
  • Old, dusty asphalt with 10 to 20 cm gutters.
  • Forward direction with 32 pit boxes and reverse with 24.
  • Replay cameras for the forward direction, by Leonardo Ratafiá.

What changed in 1.0

The July 2017 version added the reverse direction and new textures and objects, and fixed guardrails, camber and trees.

What’s missing

The author himself left the AI, the reverse direction cameras, optimization and clouds unfinished, and he hasn’t updated it since. It’s for practice, not for racing the AI.

Who it’s for

For anyone looking for a narrow, technical touge to practice drifting or uphill and downhill runs. If you want to drive at night, fca has a separate night weather mod for touges.

Unofficial fan-made mod. The names of roads, places and brands that appear belong to their respective owners; neither the author nor Holymod is affiliated with them.
