What this mod does

Usui Pass recreates a real mountain pass in Japan, one of those narrow, curve-packed touge roads that became famous among drift fans. It’s made by antudusun, from the Project Kaido group, who built it in 2012 for rFactor, released a beta in 2013 and later picked it back up for Assetto Corsa, adding details and retexturing it.

What’s included

  • A mountain layout of linked corners with asphalt, grass and walls using Kunos multilayer textures.
  • Replay cameras made by Leonardo Ratafiá, who also tested it.
  • A light file, about 141 MB.

Who it’s for

Reviews recommend it for small, nimble cars like the Mazda MX-5, and for practicing linked drifts. With over 215,000 downloads and a 4.84 out of 5 rating, it’s one of the game’s classic touge roads. One user complains it has «too many corners», which gives you an idea of its character.

Tips

The author recommends Chris Kennedy’s Natural_Mod post-processing filters to see it at its best. Some users report that in hotlap mode the car can fall under the ground when restarting; if that happens to you, go back to the pits instead of restarting on track. The version is from 2017 and hasn’t been updated since.

Unofficial fan-made mod. All track, place, event and brand names shown belong to their respective owners; neither the author nor Holymod is affiliated with them.
