Project Touge for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

Project Touge is a made-up mountain with 48 km of roads for free driving, designed for drifting and for online servers that run 24 hours a day. Its author, AK3D, started the project for rFactor without ever finishing it and rebuilt it entirely for Assetto Corsa: every mesh is modeled by him in 3DS Max, and the textures were created in Photoshop and Substance Designer.

What’s included

• Full variant, which starts at the top of the mountain, in the parking lot of a research center.
• Full garden start variant, starting at the bottom, next to the cherry blossom garden (Sakura Garden).
• A variant without 3D trees, which keeps the cherry trees, for less powerful PCs.
• 3D trees and cherry trees, power lines, new asphalt and new structures in version 0.6.

Project status

It’s a beta: it has no AI line or replay cameras, and the bushes were removed to be redone. The author has announced that future development (new areas, traffic and AI) will move to a subscription model; the version released on OverTake is still free.

Who it’s for

For anyone who wants a big map to link corners with friends without worrying about lap times. Reviews highlight the size and the sense of freedom; one complains that the roads are too wide to be realistic.

Requirements

• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Go to the Project Touge page on OverTake.gg and log in.
2. Download version 0.61 (about 256 MB).
3. Drag the file onto the Content Manager window and click Install, or copy the track folder into assettocorsa/content/tracks.
4. Pick the Full or Full garden start variant, or the one without 3D trees if your PC is struggling.
5. Head out in practice or set up a server to drive with friends.
