What this mod does
The Nissan Laurel C33 is one of Japanese drifters’ favorite rear-wheel-drive sedans: cheap, long and easy to hold sideways. This mod by DimonTF (Dmitrii Alekseev) recreates a D-Spec version, meaning it’s built specifically for drifting, with a 3D model made from scratch for Assetto Corsa and physics based on real data.
The build
- RB25DET engine with the turbo at 1.1 bar: about 353 hp measured at the wheels and 456 Nm.
- Two-way limited-slip differential, which locks both on and off the throttle.
- Fully adjustable suspension with the car’s original geometry.
- Original tires; a later update added semi-slicks.
How it drives
It’s a car that gets sideways easily and is easy to control with the throttle, so it works both for people who are learning and for tandem runs on drift servers. Being a long sedan, it’s more forgiving in transitions than a short coupe. The sound is Kunos’s, not an original recording.
Version
The 2020 revision updated the 3D model, changed the wheels and tweaked the physics. Before that, in 2018, the author adjusted the handling after testing the real car, raised the boost pressure and added community vinyls.

How to install it
- Go to the Nissan Laurel C33 D-Spec page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the car file (about 34 MB).
- Drag the file into Content Manager and click install, or copy the car folder to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- In Drive, find the Laurel C33 in the car list and pick one of the vinyls.
- Try it first on a wide drift track and adjust tire pressures and suspension in the setup menu.

Common problems
Can I use it online?
Yes, like any mod car, as long as the server has it installed and all drivers use the same version.
The car rotates too much or spins out
Lower the rear tire pressures or stiffen the rear bar in the setup; the two-way differential makes it very aggressive off throttle.
Why does it sound like a Kunos car?
The author uses Kunos's sound; the mod doesn't include its own recordings.
