What this mod does

Oi Wharf, or Oi Futo in Japanese, is a large port area on Tokyo Bay: wide, empty streets built only for containers and trucks that, in the late eighties and the nineties, became a famous nighttime street drifting spot. It’s the sixth entry in skyflightmusic’s 90’s Golden Drift Spot Project series.

What’s included

  • A single layout that combines every route in the port.
  • 32 spawn points, handy for sessions with friends.
  • Track cameras made by Leonardo Ratafiá.
  • Better optimization than earlier entries, according to the author.

How it plays

It’s a drift-only map, not a free-roam one. The cameras require a wrong-way sign; if it bothers you, the author explains that you can replace that image with a blank PNG. If performance is tight, he recommends lowering effects, shadows, world detail and anisotropic filtering.

Reviews

It has a 4.79 out of 5 rating. Reviews praise the detail and how faithful it is to the real place, and several users say it runs well in VR and online. Some expected a bigger map, and a couple of users mention lighting glitches. The screenshots on the mod page were taken with AssettoByNight and a dynamic lighting shader, so at night it will look better with a lighting mod.
