What this mod does
Race Sim Studio (RSS) is one of the best-known paid mod studios for Assetto Corsa, specializing in single-seaters. The Formula Hybrid 2017 is its fictional take on a Formula 1 car built to the 2017 regulations, and the studio offers it for free as a thank-you to the community. It doesn’t carry the name of any real team, but it reproduces the kind of car that raced that year: wide, with lots of downforce and a turbo hybrid V6 engine.

How it drives
According to the studio, the hybrid engine makes around 1,000 hp in qualifying mode, and the downforce lets you take corners at about 5 G. The wide tires give lots of mechanical grip and last more laps within a broad temperature window. It’s a very fast, demanding car, ideal for F1 tracks and for races against the AI or in leagues.
Terms
RSS prohibits re-uploading the files to other sites, so always download it from their official store. If you want a more modern F1 car from the same studio, its later Formula Hybrid models are paid.

How to install it
- Go to the Formula Hybrid 2017 page on the official Race Sim Studio store.
- Click the free download button and save the file (about 433 MB).
- Drag the file into Content Manager and confirm the install, or unzip it and copy the car folder to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- In Drive, find the Formula Hybrid 2017 in the car list and pick one of the 24 liveries.
- Check the included setup guide before your first laps: with the default setup it's easy to lose the rear.
Common problems
Is it a Ferrari, a Mercedes or a Red Bull?
No. It's a fictional Race Sim Studio car built to the 2017 regulations; the liveries are the studio's own.
Why can't I find it on other sites?
RSS doesn't allow re-uploads; the only official source is its store.
Is it paid?
This model is free. Other, more recent RSS Formula Hybrid cars are paid.
