Wicklow Mountains, Ireland for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

Wicklow Mountains recreates a small part of the roads in the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland, about 30 km south of Dublin. Its author, Jake Grafton, sums it up as a lap of the mountain pass («Lap of the Gap»), and it has more than 80,000 downloads.

What’s included

• Several road sections, expanded with section 5 in version 0.9.4.
• One full layout and two full layouts with AI.
• The village of Roundwood, added in 0.9.4.
• Since 1.1.0, a new stretch from the L1036 to the R759, north of Roundwood.

What it’s like

Some sections are very narrow, especially section 4, with tight, slow corners. Sections 2 and 3 are open, with few reference points, and have deep drainage ditches that catch your wheels.

Requirements

Custom Shaders Patch with GrassFX enabled at medium quality or higher is mandatory: the author warns that the track looks bad without it.

Tips

Start with a small, nimble car: on the narrow sections a big sports car barely fits.

How to install it

1. Enable GrassFX in Custom Shaders Patch at medium quality or higher.
2. Go to the Wicklow Mountains page on OverTake.gg and sign in.
3. Download the PDF and open the author's official link inside it.
4. Download the track and drag it into Content Manager, or copy the folder into assettocorsa/content/tracks.
5. Pick the full layout or one of the AI layouts.
