What this mod does
Nimit turns the classic first-generation (NA) Mazda MX-5, the one with pop-up headlights, into a car you can buy and drive in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It’s probably the most customizable of his cars, and version 2.4 is updated for 1.61.
Engines and transmission
- 1.6 engine with 90 hp and 113 hp, a tuned 1.6 variant and the 1.8.
- 5-speed manual gearbox.
Customization options
- 4 different hoods: with vents, with pop-up headlights, or with neither.
- 3 front and rear bumpers: stock, with a splitter, and tuned.
- 3 wheels, 2 steering wheels (stock and Mazdaspeed), 2 seat sets and shift knobs.
- Soft top or hardtop, 2 spoilers, 2 side skirts and optional fender flares.
Cabin details
It includes interior lighting, front windows that open, properly working wipers and animations for the turn signals, wipers, parking brake and hazard button.
How to buy it
You’ll find it under Truck Dealers > Go to Mod Dealer > Mazda. It’s ideal if you want a light, configurable roadster for cruising the map between jobs. There’s also a version for American Truck Simulator.

How to install it
- Download version 2.4 (1.61) from Nimit's official mod page on ModLand.
- Extract the .scs file if it comes inside a .zip.
- Copy it into Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Enable the mod in the game's Mod Manager and confirm.
- Go to Truck Dealers > Go to Mod Dealer > Mazda and buy the car.
- Visit the garage to choose the hood, bumpers, wheels, roof and the rest of the parts.
