SCS Wheels Rework V2 for Euro Truck Simulator 2

What this mod does

SCS Wheels Rework V2 doesn’t add a catalog of new rims: it improves the ones the game already has. Its author, Alberto Rios, has reworked 167 original SCS models, including rims, lug nuts, hubs and hubcaps, for both trucks and trailers. It has more than 145,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.

What it changes

• More realistic and consistent materials across all models and variants.
• Steel rims go from glossy to a matte finish.
• One new front rim and four new trailer rims, with Krone hubs.
• Lug nuts as standard on all rims, and branded front hubcaps.
• Goodyear-style low-profile tires for the front axle, rear axle and trailer.
• Fixes for model errors and for the garage icons.

Paintable rims

On the custom-paint rims, you pick one color in-game; the other part stays white. To change it, you need to edit the mod’s own editabletexture.dds texture.

Compatibility

The author says he tested it from 1.53 to 1.59 with no errors in the log. There’s no confirmation for 1.61. Since it replaces the stock rims, don’t combine it with other mods that rework them, such as Wheel Tuning Remastered.

Requirements

• Euro Truck Simulator 2 (tested by the author from 1.53 to 1.59)
• Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
• No other mod that reworks the stock rims

How to install it

1. Go to the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
2. Enable "SCS wheels REWORK V2" in the Mod Manager.
3. Disable other mods that modify the original SCS rims.
4. Visit a garage: the stock rims already look renewed and the new variants sit next to them.
5. If you want to change the fixed color of the paintable rims, edit editabletexture.dds inside the mod.
