What this mod does
The American Midwest Shouse by ikas is a «shouse», a mix of shed and house that’s very typical of the US Midwest: a single building with the workshop on one side and the living quarters on the other. It has a 4.8 rating from around 800 votes.
The workshop
- Stores crops, machines, pallets and big bags on shelving.
- Lets you repair, repaint, customize and sell vehicles.
- The walls are decorated with flags and brand signs.
The living quarters
- Open kitchen with living room, walk-in closet, bathroom, bedroom and office.
- You can change clothes and sleep through the night.
- From the office computer you choose the color of the building’s trim.

It has automatic interior and exterior lighting and can be configured with different colors and solar panels. It costs $120,000 plus $15 a day in upkeep. Version 1.1.0.0, from May 2026, adds decoration and textures and optimizes performance; the previous one added a pressure washer.
It works on PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s ideal for American maps or for combining house and workshop in a single building.

How to install it
- On console: open ModHub from the game menu, search for "American Midwest Shouse" and download it.
- On PC/Mac: download it from the in-game ModHub or get FS25_MidwestShouse.zip from the official mod page.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2025 > mods.
- Enable the mod when you load or create your savegame.
- Place it in construction mode under farmhouses, and choose the color and solar panels.
