What this mod does
Frankenmuth Farming Map recreates a farming area in Michigan, near the town of Frankenmuth (United States). It’s made by TaylorFarms (Michigan Farming Maps) and is one of the most-voted North American maps on the ModHub.
Features
- Mostly flat terrain, with a few hills, dips and ditches.
- Three farms: you have to buy the land before you can use their buildings.
- 42 buyable fields (16.48 acres on average) and 7 forestry plots.
- Its own sugar beet station: if you own it, it returns tare soil that you can take back to the field.
- Alfalfa integrated with the animals, with chopped alfalfa, haylage and dedicated silos.
- Soil map for Precision Farming and field drainage.
- You have to build the water sources yourself.
What’s new
Version 1.3.0.0 improves corn, soybeans and sugar beets, adds a barn with a feeding robot and four silos for alfalfa haylage, and doesn’t require a new savegame. Since August 2026 it’s also on Nintendo Switch 2.
Tips
It’s almost 370 MB. If you sell sugar beets without the tare soil feature you get roughly half the price, so buying the station pays off. Since it’s a big map, it’s a good idea to buy fields gradually as your economy grows.
It’s available on PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with no DLC required.

How to install it
- Open the ModHub from the game menu (PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2), search for "Frankenmuth Farming Map" and download it.
- On PC/Mac you can also download FS25_Frankenmuth_Map.zip from the official ModHub page.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder: Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2025 > mods.
- Activate the mod when you load or create your savegame.
- Pick Frankenmuth Farming Map when you create a new savegame.

Common problems
Is it on consoles?
Yes. The ModHub offers it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as PC/Mac.
Does it need Precision Farming?
No. It includes a soil map for that mod, but doesn't require it.
What is tare soil?
The soil that comes in with the sugar beets; once you've bought the station you can return it to the field.
