What this mod does

Modern Pigsty is a contemporary-style pigsty created by Katsuo of the ModdingAssociation. It’s an alternative to the base-game pigsties for players who want to raise lots of pigs in a single building with the look of a modern operation.

Solar panels that earn money

Version 1.0.0.1 makes the roof solar panels generate income, which helps offset the daily upkeep. If you plan to use it long term, it’s worth choosing that configuration when you buy it.

Tips

At 55 x 35 meters it takes up quite a bit of space, so set aside a large, flat plot. Like any pigsty, it will need feed, water and straw to keep the animals healthy and productive, and it will produce slurry and manure that you’ll have to haul away. Place it with good access for trailers and tankers. It’s about 25 MB and doesn’t require other mods. Note that the description and the file name spell it «pigesty». If you don’t need that many pigs, a smaller pigsty will be cheaper.

It’s available on PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with no DLC required.

How to install it

Open the ModHub from the game menu (PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2), search for "Modern Pigsty" and download it.
On PC/Mac you can also download FS25_MA_modernPigesty.zip from the official ModHub page.
If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder: Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2025 > mods.
Activate the mod when you load or create your savegame.
In construction mode, find it under animal pens (pigs) and choose the facade, roof and solar panels.
