What this mod does
Open Air Garden by OmaTana adds outdoor vegetable gardens that work like small productions. It’s one of the most original ideas on the ModHub and has one of the highest ratings: 4.8 with almost a thousand votes.
What’s included
- Small ($8,000), medium ($20,000) and large ($50,000) gardens.
- Two urban gardens with a shed, a tree and a seating area ($9,000), one of them in a minimalist version ($8,000) to save space.
- Each garden has four variants, with or without a fence and with or without wooden raised beds, plus a switch to raise or lower a tarp greenhouse.
- A distributor to supply several gardens at once ($1,000) and a free water pump ($500).
Production
It grows lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, spring onions, napa cabbage, chili peppers, garlic, potatoes, sunflowers, carrots, parsnips, beets, peas, green beans, spinach, grapes and olives. The basic recipes only need water; the advanced ones use seeds and fertilizer and yield more. Any manure you unload is automatically turned into fertilizer, and since version 1.0.0.2 so are slurry, digestate and liquid fertilizer.

How to install it
- On console: open the ModHub from the game menu, search for "Open Air Garden" and download it.
- On PC/Mac: download it from the in-game ModHub or get FS25_openAirGarden.zip from the official mod page.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip without unzipping it into Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2025 > mods.
- Enable the mod when you load or create your savegame.
- Place them from the construction menu: the gardens are under greenhouses, the distributor under productions and the pump under water tanks.

Common problems
Is it on consoles?
Yes, the ModHub offers it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as PC/Mac.
Do they need seeds?
Not for the basic recipes, which only use water; with seeds and fertilizer they produce more.
What do I do with manure?
Unload it at the garden: it's automatically turned into fertilizer.
