The Mechet for Farming Simulator 25

What this mod does

The Mechet is a European map by MA7Studio that recreates the Morvan, a rural area of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It’s not a map of vast plains: the fields are separated by hedgerows, tree lines, stone walls and fences, and rivers and streams shape the terrain. It’s one of the best-rated maps on the FS25 ModHub.

What’s included

• 136 fields and 179 plots you can buy.
• Two modeled villages with a church, market square, school, castle and shops.
• Four farms with different styles: sheep, cattle, vineyard and snail farming.
• Co-ops, a sawmill with four products, a cannery, a DIY store and a John Deere dealership.
• New crops such as rye, triticale, spelt, alfalfa, clover, or spring and winter wheat and barley.
• Four cow breeds (Charolais, Simmental, Vosgienne and Montbéliarde), each with its own traits.
• Compost production with a shredder at the biogas plant and a three-step grape juice chain.
• Rail export warehouse with its own locomotive and a secret mission.

Who it’s for

For players who prefer small plots, varied livestock and long production chains over working huge fields. The map itself includes a help menu that explains its new mechanics.

Version

Version 1.0.0.2 fixes collisions, improves the effect of alfalfa and clover silage in mixer wagons and simplifies the cows’ mixed ration, which also fixes problems with feeding robots. It takes up about 1.4 GB and needs three packs by the same author.

Requirements

• Farming Simulator 25 (PC/Mac; also on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via the in-game ModHub)
• Required mods: The Mechet Farm Pack, The Mechet Production And Industry Pack and John Deere Workshop (MA7Studio)
• About 1.5 GB of free space for the map plus the dependencies

How to install it

1. Open The Mechet page on GIANTS' official ModHub and download the ZIP.
2. Also download the three required packs from the ModHub: The Mechet Farm Pack, The Mechet Production And Industry Pack and John Deere Workshop.
3. Copy the four ZIP files, without unzipping them, to Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/mods.
4. If you play on console or would rather not copy files, download it from the ModHub menu in the game.
5. Launch the game, start a new savegame and pick The Mechet as the map.
6. Check the mod selection to make sure the three packs are enabled before loading.
