Holyfix: what it is and how it works

Holyfix is a free mod analyzer made by Holymod. It reads the log file the game creates, tells you which mod is failing, why and what to do, and suggests specific changes to the load order. This page sums up what it does, which files it works with and what it does with your data.

What it tells you

A one-sentence summary: whether there's anything serious, what it is and where to start.
If the game closed by itself (ETS2 and ATS with game.crash.txt): what kind of crash it was —in the game itself, in the sound or radio, in the NVIDIA or AMD driver, in an overlay program or due to system memory— and what to try.
The problems grouped by mod, with what each error means and what to do, step by step, so you can tick off what you've already done.
The load order: only the changes needed, like “move X above Y”, with the reason and whether it's required or just recommended. Mods with several packages (like big maps) count as one.
The list of your mods, with their status and a link to their mod page when the mod is on Holymod.
Whether your game version is compatible with your mods, according to their authors.
The log explained: the important lines translated into plain language.

Your details

The file is read in your browser. It isn't uploaded anywhere to make the diagnosis.
If you give us permission, we send anonymous statistics (which mods and which errors appear, no paths or names) to improve Holyfix and decide which mods to add to Holymod. You can say no and the diagnosis works just the same.
If you share a diagnosis, we store a clean version (no paths or user names) at a public link that doesn't show up in search engines. It's deleted automatically after 90 days without visits, and you can delete it sooner with your private link.
If you send us a case with “Holyfix didn't help me”, the files are cleaned in your browser before they're sent, you can see exactly what's sent, and they're deleted after 60 days.
“My diagnoses” is only stored in your browser. There are no accounts.

Limits

Holyfix only knows what the game writes in its log. If the game closes without writing anything, it may not find the culprit.
Compatibility info and the recommended order come from what mod authors publish and what we keep reviewing. If a mod isn't on Holymod, Holyfix tells you and you can ask us to add it.
Holyfix doesn't change your files or your game: it tells you what to change and you do it.
