Kanazawa Free Roam for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

Kanazawa Free Roam is a map with more than 50 km of roads inspired by Kanazawa, a historic Japanese city much loved by touge fans. It’s made by the studio ROUTE EIGHT MEDIA, which recreates many of the area’s best-known landscapes and includes gymkhana, a circuit and rallycross.

Layouts

• With AI opponents: Loop, City Loop, Circuit, Owara Circuit and Rally Cross.
• With traffic (Traffic Planner): Free Roam and City Free Roam.
• Owara Circuit, added as a drift track.
• New highway since version 0.5 in 2024.

Requirements

You need Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.75 or later, launch the game from Content Manager and enable GrassFX. The author also tested it with other CSP versions and suggests switching versions if it won’t load. It includes rain and lighting effects.

Online

There’s an official server open daily, which you join through the studio’s Discord. Patreon supporters get new versions two months early.

Tips

To drive with traffic, pick the Free Roam layouts. It’s almost 400 MB, so make some room. The cameras are by shin956 and Rotaraii.

Requirements

• Assetto Corsa for PC
• Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.75 or later with GrassFX
• Content Manager
• About 400 MB of free space
• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Install Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.75 or later.
2. Enable GrassFX in the CSP settings.
3. Go to the Kanazawa Free Roam page on OverTake.gg, sign in and download the file (about 395 MB).
4. Drag it into Content Manager and install it.
5. Pick an AI layout or a Free Roam layout with traffic and launch the game from Content Manager.
