What this mod does
The 2019 Ford Explorer Platinum is the top trim of Ford’s seven-seat SUV, a very common model on Latin American roads. This mod turns it into a car you can buy and drive in Euro Truck Simulator 2, without a trailer and all over the map.
What’s included
- Good-quality exterior and interior, designed to look good from the interior camera too.
- Its own digital dashboard with extra info; the speedometer reads in miles per hour, like the US model.
- Animated turn signal and wiper stalks, as well as the handbrake.
- Working front windows and wipers that work properly.
- Engine and transmission tuned so that 0-100 and 0-200 km/h times get close to the real car’s.
Who it’s for
For anyone looking for a big, comfortable car to tour Europe without a truck’s limitations, or to record videos and take photos with a different vehicle. It’s a good option if you like American SUVs but don’t want a sports car.

The author has maintained it since 2023 in his thread on the official SCS forum, where he says it’s already updated to version 1.61.

How to install it
- Open the mod's official thread on the SCS forum and click the download link in the first post.
- Download the file from the host the author links to.
- If it comes compressed, unzip it and copy the .scs file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Open ETS2, go to the Mod Manager and enable the Ford Explorer.
- In your save, go to a truck dealer, enter the mod dealer access and pick Ford.
- Buy the Explorer and assign it as your vehicle.

Where do I buy it?
At truck dealers: mod dealer access > Ford.
Why does the speedometer show miles?
The author recreates the US model's digital dashboard, which reads in mph. The navigation and the rest of the game still use your units.
Is there an ATS version?
The ETS2 forum thread doesn't mention one; check the author's channels if you're looking for it.
The Mod Manager marks it as incompatible
Check that the game is on 1.61 and that you downloaded the file from the official thread.
