What this mod does
This mod adds the 1994 Volkswagen Parati to the game, the wagon version of the Gol that was built in Brazil for three decades. It isn’t a truck: it’s a car you can buy and drive around the map as your own vehicle, perfect for touring Europe without a trailer or for taking photos and videos.
What’s included
- Engines from the AP family: the 1.8 from the GL and GLS versions, turbo variants and a 2.0 turbo with forged internals.
- Five-speed gearboxes (including a forged one) and front-wheel drive, like the real car.
- Its own interior with odometer, handbrake and tachometer animations.
- Several fuel tank options and accessories such as bumpers and headlights.
What’s new
The latest update (September 2026) adds a Doppler effect to the sound, new physics based on the original car’s specs, a five-speed PVD gearbox and texture fixes. According to the author’s website, it’s now compatible with version 1.61 and with Road Trip mode.
Who it’s for
For anyone who wants a light, simple classic car to cruise the map with, and for fans of 90s Brazilian cars. There’s also a version for American Truck Simulator, released by the same author.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click 'Subscribe'.
- Also subscribe to 'Passenger mod for Cars', which the author marks as required.
- Start ETS2 and open the Mod Manager from the profile selection screen.
- Enable both mods and confirm the changes.
- Load your game, go to a truck dealer and open the mods section to buy the Parati.
- Assign it as your vehicle and hit the road.

At the game's mod dealer (the mods section inside truck dealers).
Does it work in Road Trip mode?
According to the author's website, yes: in Road Trip you can buy it at dealers and in the mod shop.
Is there a version for ATS?
Yes, the author releases a separate version for American Truck Simulator on Steam Workshop.
It shows up as incompatible in the Mod Manager
Make sure the game is on 1.61 and that Steam has downloaded the latest version of the mod; if not, unsubscribe and subscribe again.
