What this mod does
The Busscar Vissta Buss was one of the most recognizable intercity coaches in Brazil in the late nineties. This mod brings the 1999 version to Euro Truck Simulator 2 as a standalone vehicle. The original model is by Impera Mods, who created it for the OMSI 2 community and allows adaptations to be published as long as credit is kept; Cristhian Cardoso now handles the ETS2 updates.

How you drive a bus in ETS2
Euro Truck Simulator 2 doesn’t have a passenger mode yet: the official Coaches DLC is still in development (everything is in our ETS2 Coaches guide). Until then, a modded bus is bought and driven just like a truck: no stops, no timetables and nobody on board. The author has a separate mod, “Mod de Passageiros”, that adds passengers for several companies, but it’s optional. More options in our list of bus mods for ETS2.
Who it’s for
For anyone looking for a long-distance coach with a classic look who wants to make long highway trips in something other than a truck. It pairs well with South American maps, or with the base map if you just want to cruise around. The author’s website lists it as compatible from 1.51 to 1.61.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the mod's Steam Workshop page (linked from the author's website) and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager from the profile selection screen.
- Activate “Busscar Vissta Buss 1999” and confirm the changes.
- Load your profile and find the bus at the mod dealer, where you buy it like any other truck.
- Configure it, buy it and assign it to your garage; then drive it as you would a truck without a trailer.
- If you want to paint it your way, download the Skin Edit file the author offers on his website.
Common problems
Can I carry passengers?
Not with this mod alone: in ETS2, modded buses are driven like a truck. The author has a separate passenger mod, and the official Coaches DLC isn't out yet.

Is there a download without Steam?
Yes. The author's website also links a manual download on ShareMods, but Steam Workshop is the easiest because it updates automatically.
