What this mod does
Passenger mod, by Cristhian [BR], is the most popular Steam Workshop mod for driving a bus in ETS2: it has more than 239,000 subscribers. Instead of trailers with cargo, it generates groups of passengers that you pick up and take to their destination. The Steam version was updated on September 22, 2026 for ETS2 1.61.
What it adds
- Passengers at companies on the base map and on maps like ProMods, Grand Utopia, EAA, EBR, Rotas Brasil or RC Brasil, among others.
- Trips available in Quick Jobs and the Freight Market.
How it works
The mod is an adapted trailer, so you hook it up like one. You need a modded bus or any vehicle that can take these jobs. If no passengers appear at first, skip time by sleeping or using fast travel.
Limitations
They don’t appear at the base map’s bus stations: the author explains that this would require editing the map and the prefabs, which can’t be uploaded to Steam. He also warns there may be bugs because it’s based on a trailer.
Multiplayer
Tested on the official Convoy. All players must use the same version of the mod, because the Steam version and the one the author uploads to Sharemods are different.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.61 (the author has another version for 1.47–1.61 outside Steam)
- Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- A modded bus to run the services
- Advanced trailer coupling disabled (Options > Gameplay)
How to install it
- Go to the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Enable "Passenger mod" in the ETS2 Mod Manager, along with your bus and your maps.
- In Options > Gameplay, disable advanced trailer coupling.
- Look for a passenger job in Quick Jobs or the Freight Market.
- If the passengers don't appear, sleep or use fast travel to skip time.
- Enable easy or automatic parking, as the author recommends.

Common problems
Why can't I see any passengers?
The author recommends skipping time (sleeping or fast travel) so they spawn.
Do they appear at the original map's bus stations?
No. That would require modifying the map and its prefabs, and the author explains that can't be uploaded to the Workshop.
Does it work on Convoy?
Yes, it's been tested; everyone must have the same version of the mod.
What do I do if a trailer spawns on top of the passengers?
The author suggests switching cameras or stopping by the garage to relocate the job.
