What this mod does
Fenceless Pastures by CookieModster turns the base-game animal pens into fenceless pastures, so you can design your farm more freely and add whatever fencing you like. It also boosts animal capacity and adds some handy options.
What’s included
- Cow pasture that produces milk: 7 cows, $5,000 with manual water or $8,000 with automatic water.
- Horse pasture: 11 horses, same prices.
- Sheep pasture: 19 sheep, $2,000 or $4,000.
- Pig pasture: 36 pigs, $2,000 or $4,000.
- Dynamic chicken pasture: 31 chickens, $850.
- Grass patch ($50), which works as a placement guide instead of fences.
They all cost $1 a day in upkeep.
Author’s tips
For grazing to work, place the pastures on sown grass fields. Level the ground first and keep grid snapping on (the R key on PC) so expansions line up properly. Since there are no fences, add your own from the construction menu if you want a realistic look.

How to install it
- Open the ModHub from the game menu (PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2), search for "Fenceless Pastures" and download it.
- On PC/Mac you can also download FS25_FencelessPastures.zip from the official ModHub page.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder: Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2025 > mods.
- Activate the mod when you load or create your savegame.
- In construction mode, find the pastures under animal pens and the grass patch under fences.
