What this mod does
The Liebherr R960 by kenny456 is a large crawler excavator with two versions, designed for forestry, earthmoving and construction work on your map.
Versions and prices
- R960 SME: fixed boom, like a regular excavator. 340 hp, 10 km/h, $260,000.
- R960 Demolition: takes an extendable boom. 340 hp, $210,000.
- R960 boom ($70,000): four lengths to choose from.
- Configurations: cab guard, tinted windows and body and track color.
Attachments
Both work with all the tools from the same author’s Excavator Attachments mod: log grapples, buckets, clamshell buckets and forestry tools. That mod isn’t required, but without it the excavator loses a lot of its usefulness.
Controls
The quick coupler has automatic tilt (Y key by default) and the U key toggles between grapples, felling head and quick coupler. The tilting cab and track width are in control group 2. Version 1.1.0.0 added simplified boom controls and fixed the track collisions.
It’s available on PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, no DLC needed. It has a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 530 votes.

How to install it
- Open ModHub from the game menu (PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2), search for "Liebherr R960" and download it.
- On PC/Mac you can also download FS25_LiebherrR960.zip from the official ModHub page.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder: Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2025 > mods.
- Enable the mod when you load or create your savegame.
- Find it in the shop under forestry, among the excavators; the boom is under excavator tools.
- Also download Excavator Attachments if you want grapples, buckets and heads.

Do I need another mod?

What's the difference between SME and Demolition?
The SME has a fixed boom; the Demolition takes an extendable boom.
