What this mod does
The Volvo Pack is a free, officially licensed pack released by GIANTS Software with classic Swedish machinery from Volvo and Volvo BM. It’s ideal for vintage farms or for anyone looking for something different from modern tractors.
What’s included
- Volvo BM 2654: 140 hp tractor, 35 km/h, $51,500.
- Volvo T 425 Krabat: small 32 hp tractor, $11,000.
- Volvo LM 841 (98 hp, $40,000) and LM 845 (112 hp, $45,000): wheel loaders.
- For the LM 841: pallet fork ($2,000), 1,000-liter rock bucket ($1,500) and 2,400-liter universal bucket ($2,000).
- Volvo SM 462: 47 hp forwarder, $55,000.
- Volvo DR 631: 65 hp articulated dumper with 5,400 liters, $50,000.
What it’s for on the farm
It covers several jobs for little money: a fieldwork tractor, a utility tractor, loading grain and pallets, hauling timber and moving soil or aggregates. All the machines are slow (20 to 35 km/h), which fits their era.
Tips
The LM 845 with the universal bucket makes a good silo loader for a small farm. The SM 462 forwarder fits in if you do forestry work. It takes up about 115 MB.
