What this mod does
Ore Crusher, by Jaredlll08 (the author of Thorium Furnaces, Thorium Chests and Simply Trash), adds a new workbench: the crusher. What it does is simple and very useful: it grinds raw ores into dust, which you then smelt in the furnace to get bars. Version 1.0.6, from September 1, 2026, is the port to 0.6.
How it works
- Each crushed ore gives two portions of dust, so in practice you double the bars you get from every ore you mine.
- It needs fuel: coal or logs.
- It also crushes stone into rubble and crystals into shards; a large crystal gives six pieces.
- The crusher is crafted at the Workbench with six stone blocks and six logs.
Who it’s for
For anyone who wants to get more out of mining without touching world generation. It goes well with Thorium Furnaces, which speeds up smelting the dust, and with Lucky Mining or Vein Mining if you also want to mine faster. It’s one more intermediate step between the mine and the furnace, so in exchange for the extra bars you’ll have to manage a bit more fuel.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the Ore Crusher page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download the file OreCrusher-1.0.6.zip (version for 0.6) from the Files tab.
- If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Open Hytale, right-click the world where you want to use it, tick Ore Crusher in the mod list and save the world settings.
- On a dedicated server, place the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- In game, craft the crusher at the Workbench with six stone blocks and six logs, place it, add coal or logs as fuel and put the ores in.

What do I do with the dust?
