What this mod does
The BMW 325i Sedan recreates the 2002 E46 3 Series sedan with the 2.5-liter inline-six engine and about 185 hp. It was made by Stereo, who also made the Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon, starting from an empty Blender file in about six days.
What’s included
- 3D model, textures and physics by Stereo.
- Physics based on manufacturer data where available and on estimates elsewhere.
- 205/55 R16 tires and part of the physics taken from work by aphidgod and mclarenf1papa.
- Kunos sound, taken from the BMW E30 Drift.
Requirements
It needs Custom Shaders Patch: it uses a physics fix for the trailing-arm rear suspension. It works with almost any version, but the author got the best results with 0.1.62.
Who it’s for
It’s a low-powered, easy-to-drive road car, made for relaxed cruising and open roads. The author himself admits the visual finish is basic, with hand-drawn textures, in exchange for quick development.
Tips
If you want a different sound, the author suggests the one from the BMW M235i racing car. The car folder is named oneweek_bmw_e46_sedan.
