What this mod does
Mulholland Drive is the famous road through the Los Angeles hills: about 17.7 km (11 miles) of two-lane road between the 405 and 101 freeways, with residential stretches, narrow curbed streets and scenic bends with dirt shoulders and lots of sections without guardrails. It’s recreated by Todd K, who also made Santa Monica Mountains, and it has a 4.94 out of 5 rating.
Variants
- East (default): hotlap, Track Day or race, with 21 pit boxes, a 21-car grid and an AI line.
- Reverse: the same, but starting from the other end.
- Freeroam: two-way AI traffic looping around the map, Track Day only, with 21 pit boxes.
Details
It has different types of shoulders and curbs, caution signs, curve markers, a paddock area at each end and road closure barriers. There’s no night version; the author lists it as still to do.
Requirements and tips
It has only been tested with Custom Shaders Patch. For free roam, enable the new AI behavior in CSP with the «Flood» and return-to-pits-after-race options. The author recommends GrassFX and Sol weather with light haze (Haze) or dust (Dust). If you prefer the location’s real lighting, delete or rename lighting.ini in each variant’s data folder.

How to install it
- Go to the Mulholland Drive page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the file.
- Drag the file onto the Content Manager window and click Install, or copy the track folder into assettocorsa/content/tracks.
- For the Freeroam variant, enable the new AI behavior in CSP with Flood and return to pits.
- Pick East or Reverse for AI races, or Freeroam in Track Day to cruise with traffic.

Common problems
I get a wrong-way warning in Freeroam
That variant only works in Track Day mode; in other modes the warning appears.
Is there a night version?
No. The author mentions it as work still to do.
Does sector timing work?
Since 1.2 (December 2021) the A-B beacons work in hotlap mode in both directions, but not in Freeroam.
