What this mod does
Road America is one of the longest and fastest tracks in the United States, in Elkhart Lake (Wisconsin). This version started in October 2018 as a test track for the IER P13c prototype and ended up becoming a full track. It’s the first joint project by LilSki and Johnr777, who handled all the buildings and scenery objects, and it has a near-perfect 4.99 out of 5 rating.
What’s included
- 43 pit boxes and working AI.
- Dynamic rubber groove, map, TV cameras by Leonardo Ratafiá and time attack mode.
- With Custom Shaders Patch: GrassFX grass, custom sounds, animated marshals, a blimp and a banner-towing plane.
- Lights added in version 1.0, and ready for CSP rain.
Without CSP
It also works with the original launcher, just without the animations. The author warns that some third-party apps make the track crash because of the animations; if that happens to you, rename the extension folder inside the track folder: you’ll lose the grass and animations, but it will load.
Who it’s for
For prototype, GT or American classic races with long straights and heavy braking. Reviews praise the accuracy, the visuals and the AI; one user says it feels just like the version in a commercial sim where he’s done over a thousand laps.

How to install it
- Go to the Road America page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download version 1.0 (about 250 MB).
- Drag the file onto the Content Manager window and click Install, or copy the track folder into assettocorsa/content/tracks.
- Pick the track and set up a race with up to 43 cars.
- If it crashes while loading because of an app, rename the track's extension folder.

Common problems
The game crashes when loading the track
Some third-party apps clash with the animations; rename the track's extension folder to load it without them.
Does it need CSP?
It's not required, but without it you won't see animated marshals, grass or other extras.
Is there a motorcycle layout?
The version 1.0 notes mention a Moto layout, but the mod page doesn't go into detail.
