What this mod does

Riverside International Raceway was a Southern California track that left its mark on American motorsport history. LilSki recreates it as it stood in 1988, during the last NASCAR Budweiser 400 held there. It’s his second track built from scratch for Assetto Corsa, and the author considers it the most accurate version of Riverside to date.

What’s included

  • Four layouts: Long, Short, NASCAR and Spike.
  • 24 pit boxes; the author explains the model has 32 slots if you edit the JSON, although the pit lane is a double one.
  • Working AI, a dynamic rubber groove and dynamic sand on the track.
  • Track map, four TV cameras per layout and time attack mode.

Credits

The road textures are by Rigel, the cameras by Norbs and the blimp by Tberg; Virtua_LM let him use elements from his RV textures.

Who it’s for

Ideal for ’80s American cars, IMSA prototypes or classic touring cars. Reviews highlight the detail, the atmosphere, the driving feel and the good performance in VR. If you see objects popping in on the back straight, one user recommends raising the draw distance. With a 4.96 out of 5 rating from more than 220 reviews, it’s one of the must-have historic tracks.

Unofficial fan-made mod. All track, place, event and brand names shown belong to their respective owners; neither the author nor Holymod is affiliated with them.
