What this mod does

Okayama International Circuit, in Japan, is a technical track that has hosted Formula 1, Super GT and the World Touring Car Championship. Mitja Bonca built it from scratch starting in December 2016, using all the data available online (no laser scan), and it’s one of his best-rated tracks, at 4.93 out of 5.

Layouts

• GP: 3.7 km, with 36 pit boxes, AI and two DRS zones.
• Piper: 2 km, with 36 pit boxes, AI and two DRS zones.
• Formula Drift Japan: 800 m, with 24 pit boxes and no AI.

What’s included

• Every road is drivable, even off the track, and there’s a karting circuit (not as a separate layout).
• Full 3D terrain with grass, bushes and trees.
• Dynamic rubber groove, map, sections and working pit lights.
• Six TV cameras per layout and one more for the karting track.

Who it’s for

It’s perfect for touring cars and GTs, and the drift layout adds variety. Reviews praise the detail and the chance to explore the surroundings. One user mentioned see-through asphalt in a few spots, which the author attributes to the player’s settings. The author doesn’t allow modifying the track or uploading it to other sites without his approval.

• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Go to the Okayama page on OverTake.gg and log in.
2. Download version 1.0 (about 233 MB).
3. Drag the file onto the Content Manager window and click Install, or copy the track folder into assettocorsa/content/tracks.
4. Pick the GP, Piper or drift layout.
5. For AI races use GP or Piper; the drift layout has no AI.
