What this mod does
The Shelby Cobra 427 is one of the most famous American sports cars: a light roadster with a huge V8. This mod by the_meco and pankykapus was born before the Cobra 427 S/C officially arrived in Assetto Corsa. The S/C version is now part of the game, but the pack keeps three other variants that aren’t in the official content.
What’s included
- Street Cobra, with street tires, softer suspension and no rear anti-roll bar.
- S1 replica, more track-focused and with grippier tires.
- Cobra Competition, with its own model and physics, period tires and additional liveries by NWRAP-ESP.
- Dirt, damage, optimized LODs and new selection images.
Who it’s for
For anyone who wants to expand the official Cobra with the street or competition version and compare all three on the same track. The Competition shows up separately in the car list.
Version
Version 1.2 (August 2015) added the missing code for aero, drivetrain, engine, tires, brakes and AI, and brought the Competition closer to how the official S/C behaves. It hasn’t been updated since, so it has no Custom Shaders Patch features.

How to install it
- Go to the Shelby Cobra 427 page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the file (about 281 MB).
- Drag it into Content Manager or copy the car folders to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- Look for Shelby Cobra in the list: the Competition appears as a separate car.
