What this mod does
The Austin Mini Cooper S is a 1960s touring car racing legend, and this mod recreates it in FIA Appendix K spec for pre-1966 historic touring cars: 125 hp and 140 Nm. Its author, Pessio, rebuilt the car from scratch in version 2.0, with a new model and physics. It’s rated 4.92 out of 5 with about 87,000 downloads.

- 3D model made from scratch with reference photos, opening doors and period wheels.
- Physics, suspension and tires by Kyuubeey; parts, UV mapping, testing and sound by luathas.
- Roll cage, race suspension and dampers, limited-slip differential and rear bar true to the period.
- Sound recorded from a real Cooper S and engine torque taken from dyno runs.
- Working wipers, lights, turn signals and gauges.
- A 1000 cc Group 2 version with period tires.
Who it’s for
For historic racing on classic tracks: the author presented it as ready for Goodwood. The 1000 cc version is balanced against the same author’s Scorpion TC10 Rad for small touring car races.
Version
Version 2.12 (July 2020) fixed the clutch torque on the Group 2 version. It includes a folder for painters with colored wheels and a PSD template.

How to install it
- Go to the Mini page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the file (about 200 MB).
- Drag it into Content Manager and install it, or copy the car folders to assettocorsa/content/cars.
- Pick the Appendix K version or the 1000 cc Group 2 from the list.
- To create liveries, use the painters folder included in the download.

What's the difference between the two versions?
The Appendix K is the Cooper S for pre-1966 historic racing; the Group 2 is a 1000 cc version for small touring cars, with period tires.
Is the model original?
Yes: according to the author, 2.0 was rebuilt from scratch with reference photos.
