MINI Cooper JCW UK Challenge (F56) for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

The MINI Cooper JCW UK Challenge recreates the car from the top class of the British Mini Challenge: a MINI F56 John Cooper Works with up to 275 hp in a short-wheelbase package. It’s made by Pessio, author of Euronascar 2021 and the Alfa Romeo GTAm, and it’s designed mainly for online racing and leagues.

What’s included

• Fully rebuilt physics in version 1.2.
• 30 skins by Emà!!!, with 2K versions for lower-end PCs.
• Normal maps, details and part of the sound by luathas.
• Info and testing from two real drivers in the championship, including the 2019 season winner.

No lights

The car has no headlights: the author explains that the real car doesn’t have them either, so it’s not a good choice for night races.

Versions

The 1.21 hotfix corrects a suspension value that gave positive scrub radius at the front. With 1.2 the author warned that the car could be slightly slower than before.

Tips

It’s a powerful front-wheel-drive car: turn in smoothly and make the most of the traction on corner exit. For leagues, make sure all drivers use the same version.

• Free OverTake.gg account to download

How to install it

1. Go to the MINI JCW UK Challenge page on OverTake.gg and sign in.
2. Download the file (about 148 MB).
3. Drag it into Content Manager and install it, or copy the car folder into assettocorsa/content/cars.
4. Pick one of the 30 skins and head out on track.
