Euronascar 2021 for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

Euronascar 2021 recreates the car from the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, the European version of the American series. It’s the work of Pessio, author of the Maserati Tipo 61 and the De Tomaso Pantera Gr. 4, and it has a rating of 4.95 out of 5.

What the car is like

It’s long, with a tube-frame chassis and silhouette body, a general-purpose 351 cubic inch V8 and almost no aerodynamics. The author says it’s based on nearly all the real data from the rulebook and the official spec sheet.

• Four bodies: Ford, Chevrolet, FJ and Shadow.
• 2021 season skins, almost all by NightEye87.
• Data, inspiration and testing from Davide Dallara, a real driver in the championship.

What users say

Reviews highlight the handling, the sound and how well the default setup works. One user says that if the car won’t leave the pits, you can fix it by enabling the Custom Shaders Patch option to wake up physics in the pits.

Tips

It’s about 277 MB because of the number of skins. It’s a heavy car with little downforce: brake early and look after traction out of slow corners.

How to install it

1. Go to the Euronascar 2021 page on OverTake.gg and sign in.
2. Download the file (about 277 MB).
3. Drag it into Content Manager and install it, or copy the folders into assettocorsa/content/cars.
4. Pick the body (Ford, Chevrolet, FJ or Shadow) and a 2021 skin.
5. If the car won't leave the pits, enable the CSP option to wake up physics in the pits.
