What this mod does

SGD: BMW E39 Addon Pack is a mod by SGDESIGN, author of the well-known BMW Traffic Pack and trailer packs for SCS games. It adds a 2001 BMW M5 E39 you can drive to American Truck Simulator, using the car system from the Road Trip: Ford DLC. The pack also includes a traffic version of the car.

What version 1.0.0 includes

  • Sedan body with its own physics, engine and gearbox.
  • BMW S62B50 engine, a 4.9-liter V8.
  • Six-speed Getrag S6S 420G gearbox.
  • Driver, window and wiper animations.

The interior

This is the first release and the car doesn’t have its own interior yet: it uses the black interior of the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. It’s the main complaint in the comments, and the author confirms that’s how it is for now.

What you should know

You need the Road Trip: Ford DLC, which Steam lists as a requirement. It was published on October 29, 2026 and doesn’t state the game version. To update it, the author asks you to unsubscribe and subscribe again. Bugs are reported in the page’s discussions. The author accepts PayPal donations to keep developing it.

How to install it

  1. Open the “SGD: BMW E39 - ADDON PACK” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
  2. Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
  3. Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable “SGD: BMW E39 - ADDON PACK”.
  4. Buy the BMW wherever the game sells the Road Trip cars (the author doesn't specify where it appears) and drive.
  5. To update it, unsubscribe and subscribe again, as the author asks.
