Mapkalo is a map of Colombia for American Truck Simulator, created by Kaloma Restrepo. As of October 23, 2026, its official website (mapkalo.com) offers the ATS 1.61 version in 7 free files. You put them in the mod folder, enable them on a new profile in the order shown on the website, and you also need the Stoks mod from the Steam Workshop. The website doesn’t ask for any DLC. MundoATS isn’t the map: it’s the community that runs the official server for driving Mapkalo with other players, and it also offers guides and tools.
Mapkalo and MundoATS: what each one is
- Mapkalo is the map: a standalone map with Colombia’s roads, cities and mountain stretches. It doesn’t combine with US maps like Reforma.
- MundoATS (mundoats.com) is the community. Mapkalo.com presents it as the «official MundoATS server,» with its own WhatsApp group, and MundoATS offers setup guides and a free tool for the free camera. Its website makes clear that it isn’t Mapkalo’s official page: the official downloads are on mapkalo.com.
Files and load order
The download page shows the 7 files with an order number and asks you to place them in the Mod Manager «following exactly the order shown.» They appear like this, from top to bottom:

In the ATS Mod Manager, mods at the top take priority over the ones below. Copy the same layout as the website: the update (07) at the very top and the terminals (01) at the bottom. Note that the names don’t follow the numbering: ATS1 goes between ATS4 and Model Colombia, and ATS3 sits right above the terminals. Don’t unzip the .zip files. How to install Mapkalo step by step
- Download the 7 files from the download page on mapkalo.com. The links go to ShareMods, which shows ads: only click the file’s download button. Make sure you have all 7 before moving on.
- Copy them into the mod folder: Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod. If this is your first mod, see how to install mods in ATS.
- Create a new profile. The website recommends a clean profile so there are no conflicts with other maps or mods you already have.
- Subscribe to the Stoks mod on the Steam Workshop and enable it. According to the website, the map needs it to work properly. The website doesn’t link the exact page and MundoATS spells it «Stonks»: if in doubt, ask in the official group before installing the wrong one.
- Order and enable the 7 files in the Mod Manager as shown in the table.
- Enable the free camera («camera zero») and assign its keys. The website recommends it for exploring the map and links a free tool and a guide on MundoATS.com.
- Restart ATS, load the new profile and check that the map loads without errors.
- Complete two deliveries and reverse-park when you finish. That earns you experience and money, unlocks jobs and gets your save started normally.
What DLC does Mapkalo need?
The official website doesn’t ask for any DLC: the only requirements it lists are the game, the 7 files and the Stoks mod. It’s a standalone map, separate from the US map, so it isn’t used on the same profile as the official states or maps like Reforma. Version: 1.60 or 1.61?
The download page is titled «Descargar Mapkalo ATS 1.61» (Download Mapkalo ATS 1.61), but the terminals file is called «TERMINALES MAPKALO V1.60» and the MundoATS page talks about «Mapkalo 1.60 Funcionando» (Mapkalo 1.60 Working). The files are the same on both websites. If ATS gets updated (1.62 has been in open beta since October 20, 2026), wait for mapkalo.com to publish new files before playing on the beta.
Playing Mapkalo on the MundoATS server
Mapkalo.com promotes the official MundoATS server for driving the map with company. According to MundoATS, to play online you copy the server ID. The Mapkalo website has videos on how to find the server and connect, which files to change when the server is updated and how to use the Torton cargo on the server. All players must have the same files as the server. If your connection fails after an update, download the 7 files again.
Common errors
- The map won’t load or the game crashes: one of the 7 files is missing, the order doesn’t match the website or Stoks is missing. Try a new profile with no other mods.
- The US map shows up: you’re using an old profile or another map is active. Create a profile just for Mapkalo.
- Old version: avoid reuploads on third-party sites, which often have outdated files. Only download from mapkalo.com.
